The Gonzales County Tax Office collects ad valorem taxes for Gonzales County, City of Gonzales, City of Nixon, City of Smiley, City of Waelder, EMS, Gonzales County Fire District, Gonzales Healthcare Systems, Nixon Hospital District, Yoakum Hospital District, Gonzales Co. Underground Water Cons. District, Gonzales ISD, Nixon-Smiley CISD, Waelder ISD. 

Other services provided by the office are:

     1. Registering motor vehicles and transferring motor vehicle titles.

     2. Registering and titling boats and motors.

     3. All voter registration duties.

     4. Renewal of beer and liquor licenses.

Office hours are Monday through Friday:

• Lobby: 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
• Drive-Up: 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
