Early voting by Personal Appearance for the Republican Primary Run-Off will begin Monday, April
5th and end on Friday, April 9th.
Gonzales County voters may early vote in person at the Courthouse Annex, 1709 Sarah DeWitt Dr.
(across from Wal-Mart), the City Building in Nixon (100 W. 3rd St) and City of Waelder (300 Hwy 90
W). Voting hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - Monday through Friday.
If you requested a ballot for the run-off (at the time you requested your ballot by mail for
03/02/2010) they will be mailed to you as soon as the ballots are received. Should you like
to vote in the run-off and did not request a ballot by mail for the PRIMARY please contact the
County Clerk's office at 672-2801. You are not elegible to vote in this run-off if you voted
in the Democratic Primary on 03/02/2010. The last day to receive a request for a ballot by
mail is April 6th (received - NOT POSTMARKED). BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE MAIL BY
ELECTION DAY TO BE COUNTED.
The last day to register to vote in the Republican Primary Run-Off is March 13th.
Election law requires voters to have their voter registration card or proof of identification
with them when they vote. Voters who fail to have identification may be rejected for
voting. New voters registration cards were recently mailed by the Tas Assessor's
Office. They are BLUE in color. If you did not receive your new card, please call the
Tax Office at 830-672-2841.
